HVAC 101

What does HVAC mean to you?  HVAC is so ingrained in our vocabulary that we may not know what these letters actually represent.  HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning; also heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) is the technology of indoor and vehicular environmental comfort. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HVAC).  It’s more likely that many of us have our own definition of these letters.

“To me, HVAC means Healthy Veins and Arteries Circulating in our clients’ homes.”  D. Brian Baker, an HVAC contractor

If the goal of HVAC is to provide thermal comfort and air quality, then it is worth exploring how that is done.  HVAC 101 is  dedicated to our customers with the goal of consumer education leading to smart and affordable choices when spending our energy dollars.
